Eligibility Criteria for SSB Sub Inspector Recruitment
Educational Qualification for SSB Sub Inspector Notification 2019
- Eligibility Condition:- ASI(Min) of SSB with not less than three 03(three) years regular service in the grade as on 1st April, 2018 (i.e. on 31.03.2018 the applicant should have completed three years of regular service as AST/Min).
- Note:-The officials who are on deputation to the post of ASI(Min) in SSB shall not be eligible for appearing in LDCE for the post of SI(Min).
- Educational Qualifications:- In RRs the post of Sub-Inspector (Ministerial) is a promotional post. Hence, promotee ASI(Min) will be eligible for LDCE irrespective of their educational qualifications.

About SSB
Sashastra Seema Bal was established as Special Service Bureau in May 1963, in the aftermath of the Chinese aggression (in 1962). Sashastra Seema Bal came under aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Jan 2001). SSB was declared a Lead Intelligence Agency for Indo Nepal (June 2001) and assigned the Indo Nepal border. Later, SSB was also assigned Indo Bhutan border (March 2004). In March 2004, SSB received the President’s Colours (March 2004) in recognition of the keystone role in national security, since its inception.
