Karnataka State Police Physical Test : Details
Details about KSP Physical test given here. This KSP (KSP Instructor Recruitment) Physical test will be having three event running, Long Jump or High Jump and shot Put. Candidate must perform well in all three event to get selected. To pass karnataka police physical test candidate needs to match minimum criteria for selection. Details about all three Events given below.
Event 1 – Running
To pass in running event candidate must cover 2 Kilometer distance in 10 minutes.
For Ex – Servicemen 400 meter in 2 minutes
Event 2 – Long Jump or High jump
Long Jump – Candidate must able to jump 3.80 meters long. Three chances will be given.
High Jump – Candidate Must able to jump 1.20 meters high. Three chances.
Event 3 – Shot Put
Candidate must able to throw 7.26 kg shot / Gola to distance 5.60 meters. 3 chances.
Candidate need to pass in all three events to get selected for further selection process. After this Karnataka Police Constable Physical test there will be physical standard test in this test Height and chest of candidate will be check.
Height of candidate must be 170 cm. (tribal – 155cm)
Chest must be 86 cm with expansion. (tribal – 75 cm)

About Karnataka State Police (KSP)
The Karnataka State Police Department is the law enforcement agency for the Indian state of Karnataka. The department is headed by the Director General of Police. The district police administration is headed by a Superintendent of Police. A group of districts comprise a range, led by an Inspector General of Police. Police administration in Bengaluru is headed by a commissioner of police with the rank of Additional DGP. Mysuru, Mangaluru and Hubballi-Dharwad city are headed by an Inspector General of Police(IGP) while Belagavi is headed by a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
The Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) is the head of the state’s police department, and under him are Additional Directors Generals of Police. Each Additional Director General of Police is in charge of a particular function: law and order, crime and technical services, administration, intelligence, the Karnataka State Reserve Police, recruitment and training.
There are five Commissionarates. The Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City has the rank of Additional Director General of Police, and the commissioners in Hubballi-Dharwad, Mysuru and Mangaluru have the rank of Inspector General of Police while the Belagavi commissioner has the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police. Six Inspectors General of Police are in charge of ranges, with several Inspectors General of Police in charge of specific functions. Each Range comprises three to six districts, and each district is headed by a Superintendent of Police.
