Candidates are advised to apply for Karnataka Epass Scholarship from the official website. Government of Karnataka is providing scholarships for the students of backward classes to pursue higher studies. This article gives you the information about the Karepass Scholarship, Eligibility Criteria, status, How to apply etc. The Applications are accepted through online mode only.

The government of Karnataka provides Scholarships to the Financially Weaker Students of SC/ST/OBC/EBC Category for further studies after schooling. The Karepass was initiated by the Department of Backward Class Welfare and launched by Government of Karnataka.

Karnataka EPass Scholarship Application Form

Candidates applying for the Scholarship are requested to follow steps.

  • Visit the official website – karepass.cgg.gov.in
  • Click on “Apply Online”.
  • Please fill the details accurately such as
  • Fresh / Renewal: In this option, you have to select that it is a fresh application or renewal of the filled application form.
  • Choose the Academic Year.
  • Enter all the necessary details such as Name, Father’s Name, Educational Qualifications, Mobile Number etc.
  • Upload scanned copies required documents.
  • Check all the details entered are correct or not.
  • Finally, Click on Submit button.
  • Download or take a printout of the Application form for any future use.

  • For PUC, Degree, Diploma, JOC, TCH & .. Rs.300/-p.s./p.a. other similar courses
  • For MA.MSc, M.Com, MSW, LLB,LLM,BEd,etc. Rs.400/-p.s./p.a.
  • For professional courses like B.E., MBBS Rs.500/-p.s./p.a. BDS,MBA,MCA Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, Unani , etc. (graduation & P.G.courses)

  • The student should belong to either of the Categories of B.Cs as enumerated in G.O.
  • The annual income of the parents/guardians of the students belonging to Cat.IIA, IIB, IIIA & IIIB of B.Cs shall not exceed Rs.15,000/- P.A.
  • The student should not be the inmates of any Government or Government aided hostels.
  • The applications received beyond last date/ incomplete applications/applications without relevant enclosures will not be valid.

After verification of Online application can download the application status information as a printout copy and keep with reference purpose.

Those want to check the ePass application status online for earlier online submitted applications, all Students have to follow the below-given instructions for final ePass Status online.

  • Those who applied earlier can visit the Online Application Status Link
  • Now, enter the Application Number, Academic Year, SSLC Pass Type, Year of Pass, SSLC Register Number and Date of Birth.
  • Once all above details are updated then click on the “GetStatus” button.
  • A New window will open with Students application Image with Photo and Status notification will show in the application itself.
  • Now, take the printout copy for future reference purpose and keep it as a safe place, whenever it required, students have to produce in the college scholarship, admission, and examination branch for scholarship and academic tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria for KarePass Application 2019

Student’s parental annual income must not exceed Rs. 2,00,000/- per year. Candidates preferably must belong to Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribe (SC/ST). Students must have at least 75% of attendance. Candidates obtaining Post-matric course in the state of Karnataka are eligible to apply for ePass Scholarship. The only online application process is supported. Through their colleges, candidates can apply for the scholarship before 1 week of the online application date. Student’s Aadhar Card must be linked with Bank account’s Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility Criteria for Karepass Scholarship 2018

The Karnataka Vidyasiri Scholarships are provided to financially weaker students for pursuing the Medical, Engineering, PG, and Nursing Courses. Now, we are providing you with the eligibility criteria for the Vidyasiri scholarship:

  • Applicant must be a resident of Karnataka state.
  • Applicant must belong to the Reserved Category i.e. SC, ST, OBC, and EBC Category.
  • The family income of the applicant must be under 2 Lacs Rupees per annum.

What is Karepass ScholarShip?

The main objectve of ePASS scholarship in Karnataka is to help the meritorious students who cannot afford education. Under the ePASS scheme, tuition fee prescribed by the colleges are paid by the Government in the form of scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria for Karepass

  • Applicant Candidate parents Income must be less the 2 Lakh per annum for Both SC/ST/ Candidate
  • The OBC Candidate family income should be less then1 Lakh per annum
  • All the applicant candidate must be score 75% attendance to apply for this scholarship
  • The applicant candidate should be resident of Karnataka State
  • Students not Eligible for Karnataka epass 2019
  • Students belonging to the categories other than SC, ST, BC, EBC and Disabled.
  • SC, ST Students whose annual parental income is more than Rs.2 Lakhs.
  • BC, EBC, Disabled Students whose parental income is more than Rupees One lakh.
  • All Students pursuing the part time courses, online courses.
  • Students admitted under Sponsored seats, Management Quota seats.
  • Students drawing the stipend more than the scholarship amount in aggregate per annum.
  • Students of BC, EBC and DW students studying the Courses offered by open universities, distant mode, category B seats in MBBS, BDS.
  • EBC students studying Intermediate or equivalent courses.
